This Privacy Policy describes how Una Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles user information in the app “MirekiLens” (the “App”).

This English version is a translation provided for reference. If there is any discrepancy between this version and the Japanese version, the Japanese version shall prevail.

1. Information we collect

The App stores your viewing history data (titles of videos and music, channel names, and the dates and times you watched or listened), your favorites, and your app settings only on your device. This information is never sent to our servers or to any third-party servers.

The App connects to the internet to display ads (Google AdMob). When it does, information needed to deliver ads is sent to Google (see “4. Advertising and sharing with third parties” below). Only ad-related information is sent; your viewing history data is not included. In addition, if you turn on “Show thumbnails” in the settings, the App connects to the internet to retrieve images (see “5. External services” below). No account registration or sign-in is required.

Depending on your device settings, the App’s data may be saved to your Google account through Android’s standard backup feature (provided by Google). This is a feature controlled by your device settings, and we do not obtain that data.

2. Importing viewing history data

Viewing history data enters the App only when you import files that you yourself created using Google’s data export service (Google Takeout). The App never retrieves your viewing history directly from Google’s services.

There are two ways to import:

・“Choose a folder”: Once you select a folder, such as the “Takeout” folder in Google Drive, the App reads the export files in that folder from then on. The App reads only the files inside the folder you selected. It never modifies those files or reads files outside the folder. You can remove the selected folder at any time from the import screen.

・“Choose files to import”: You select files one at a time.

Files are read through your device’s standard file picker. Files stored in Google Drive are read by the Google Drive app. The App never sends these files outside your device.

3. Permissions

The App does not ask you to grant any permissions on screen. The following permissions are used for the App’s features and for ads:

・Internet access and network state: Used to display ads and, when turned on, to display thumbnails.

・Advertising ID (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID): Used by the advertising service (Google AdMob) to display ads and measure ad performance. You can delete or reset your advertising ID in your device settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads).

When reading files, the App accesses only the files and folders you select in your device’s file picker. Some components used by the App include permissions such as vibration, but these are not used to collect or send your information.

4. Advertising and sharing with third parties

The App incorporates Google AdMob, an advertising service provided by Google LLC, along with its SDK, and displays banner ads at the top of the screen and within lists and search results. (Ads are not shown on the settings screen or on the screens for importing and exporting.)

To display ads, the following information is automatically sent to Google:

・Information that identifies your device or the app, such as your advertising ID

・Your IP address (which may be used to estimate your approximate location)

・Device and app information (such as device model, OS version, and app version)

・Records of interactions with ads, such as views and taps

・Diagnostic information about the App’s operation and performance

Google uses this information to deliver and display ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and perform analytics. Your viewing history data (titles of videos and music, channel names, and the dates and times you watched or listened), your favorites, and your app settings are not sent to Google. For information about how Google handles data, please see Google’s page “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.”

We review aggregated ad performance (such as the number of impressions and revenue) in the Google AdMob dashboard. We do not receive any information that identifies individual users.

Consent: Users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and certain other regions are asked for their consent regarding ads through a consent management tool provided by Google. You can review or change your consent at any time from “Ad privacy settings” in the App’s “Settings” (shown only in applicable regions). If you do not consent, ads will not be personalized (that is, tailored to you). Non-personalized ads may still be shown.

Ad personalization: You can stop ad personalization through your device settings (by deleting or resetting your advertising ID) or through Google’s ad settings.

Except for the information sent to Google for advertising as described above, we do not provide or share user information with any third party.

5. External services

When you tap “Watch this video” or “Listen to this music” on the App’s details screen, your device’s browser or a video or music app opens. From that point on, your information is handled in accordance with the terms of service and privacy policy of the service that opens. The App does not obtain the content of that communication.

Displaying thumbnails (video images): The “Show thumbnails” setting is off by default. Only if you turn it on does the App retrieve the images of the videos it displays from the server YouTube uses to deliver images (i.ytimg.com). When it does, the IDs of the videos being displayed and communication information such as your device’s IP address are sent to Google (YouTube). Retrieved images are temporarily stored on your device (in the device cache). We do not receive the retrieved images or the video IDs that were sent. From that point on, your information is handled in accordance with Google’s privacy policy. If you turn the setting back off, no such communication takes place. Images are not included in exported CSV files or in shared images. Screens that display thumbnails indicate that the images come from YouTube.

YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC. The App is not affiliated with YouTube.

6. Backup, export, and sharing features

The App includes features to export your saved data as a CSV file, to restore data from an exported file, and to export a summary as an image to share. Exported files and images are saved to a destination you choose (a folder on your device or a sharing destination you select), and we do not obtain their contents.

CSV files include the titles of the videos and music you watched or listened to, channel names, and the dates and times. Images include the items you choose (such as channel names and titles). Please be careful about where you save them and with whom you share them.

7. Deleting your data

You can delete the viewing records, ad records, favorites, and import records stored in the App by using “Delete all data” in the App’s “Settings.” (Deleted data cannot be recovered.) Uninstalling the App also deletes the data stored inside the App.

However, export files in Google Drive, exported CSV files, and shared images are not deleted. Please delete them yourself if you no longer need them.

Information sent to Google for advertising cannot be deleted from the App. You can delete or reset your advertising ID and change your ad personalization settings in your device settings or in Google’s ad settings.

8. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may change this Privacy Policy as necessary without prior notice. Any changes take effect when they are posted on this page.
