Declaration as a “Telework Tokyo Rule” Practicing Company

◆Aiming to be a company where employees can freely choose flexible working styles through telework

To respect the diverse lifestyles of each employee and promote flexible ways of working, we introduced a telework program in 2023 and have actively adopted remote work and flextime systems. This allows employees dealing with various family circumstances, such as caring for a family member, to continue working without being constrained by their working environment.
When introducing this program, internal discussions raised concerns that “while the telework system is appreciated, reduced communication at work might lower efficiency and productivity.” For this reason, the program initially started by limiting eligibility to specialist roles under discretionary labor arrangements, while allowing staggered working hours for administrative staff such as accounting.
In the early stages, we faced various challenges, including misunderstandings caused by communication gaps. However, by making use of cloud-based tools, establishing clear rules, and deepening mutual understanding among employees, we overcame these challenges. As a result, work efficiency and productivity have improved, positively impacting the company’s overall performance.

We are currently working to build an environment where employees can choose between telework and coming into the office based on their own judgment, aiming to create a workplace where everyone can select the working style that suits them best. Going forward, we will continue to prioritize our employees’ ease of working and remain committed to supporting diverse ways of working.
